Victoria suffers again with record assaults under John Brumby
more releases
| The Auditor-General has found more than 30 per cent of major contracts that should have been disclosed have not been disclosed. John Brumby promised to be open and transparent, but instead delivered the secret state. |

Despite families already experiencing growing financial pressures, John Brumby is increasing taxes and charges.
After a decade of failure, things are only getting worse under John Brumby and Labor.
Since 2000, Labor has imposed 26 new and extended taxes on Victorian household budgets, yet our transport system is collapsing, hospitals are in crisis, we are paying more for water and violent crime is out of control in our suburbs.
Under John Brumby, state debt is rising fast.
Victorian families are being kept in the dark on how John Brumby will repay its enormous debt.
The 2010-11 State Budget forecast that net state debt would increase to $31.7 billion by 2014, with a $3.2 billion interest bill for Victorians to pay every year.
Future generations will be burdened with John Brumby’s state debt splurge and will have little to show for it aside from a continuing decline in services and crumbling infrastructure.
Meanwhile, John Brumby has wasted taxpayers’ money on the myki ticketing fiasco and other major project cost blowouts, while hospitals, public transport and law and order collapse under Labor.
